I have been stuck on Mac Dark Twist all day- I love it! I will have to put it aside to try something else new at some point.

Imo I think it's their best curly cut they have. I love that stuff.

Finished up eating a late dinner. I cooked my wife and i some ribeye steaks and some lobster tails that the grocery store recently started selling. Now having a bowl of The Royal Yacht in a bent missouri cob.

Took me about half a tin to figure it out, but this Royal Yacht is absolutely great. I get just a whisper of the plum topping here and there. I see why this is Pipestud's favorite.

Switching gears with some Mac Baren Plumcake. This is quickly becoming my favorite latakia containing blend.

I love plumcake. Took me quite some time to get used to it but I'm glad I kept trying!

Hello and welcome to the forum! Your post reminds me that I have been neglecting my L. J. Peretti blends for a while. Might be time to change that.

You have me quite interested in Amphora. I think will put a pouch of that on my list. 3 days is an eternity!

Beautiful pipes!

Oh, the Dockworker, I was so disappointed, when I learned, that HU will discontinue its production... It was an awesome blend.

Thanks! I agree, I still have two tins from 2016 and four newer ones. I would hate to see it go or change.

King Cake in another cob with new forever stem. Good idea Zig- they really do liven up the cobs and I don't feel like I am going bite the stem in half anymore.

Nice pipe and stem. See you're using a cartridge case for a tamper. What caliber is it? I was guessing it was a 5.56. Lol

Haha! Yes, I use a 5.56 shell as a tamper in my small bowl pipes.

Sams Flake this morning in my La Glorieuse. Sweet and creamy smoke breakfast 🙂 I think I will go with Three Quid after lunch.

Sorry.  New here. I have to know:

What makes you describe a tobacco as being creamy

I see that descriptor so often and it surely makes me interested… but how would a tobacco be creamy

Thanks!

Hi Erik! Welcome,

An excellent question! For me, it is the texture and volume of the smoke. Thick, soft, rich, but not harsh.

I hope it helps.

Cheers!

Warhorse Green in my old cob with new forever stem. This may be one the best smelling tobaccos out of the tin! On top of that it smokes great too. You have to be in a mood for a strong black liquorice top note, but it is going to be a re-order for sure!

I'm finishing up the tin of Windjammer this morning. I must order a couple more. I'm so fixated on this blend.  The one I had was 4 years old. So good. Oh smoking it in my Big Ben Olympic.

I think I have a Dark Fired Kentucky problem. Its not yet noon and I have smoked 3 DFK blends today: Mithril, Dark Twist and War Horse Green. I am on a dark fired kick for sure!
