Really, been enjoying Royal Yacht lately. Thinking of mixing in some of the Old Joe and see how it is.

Just smoked my new Ashton poker for the first time. Smokes like a dream! Had some mac baren navy flake in it probably my favorite burley blend.

Typical Monday, far too busy to get in many pipes this afternoon, but I’m squeezing in a bowl of St. Bernard in an old TV churchwarden.

C&D King Cake in a cob.  I have been neglecting this one for a while and I really like it.

H.U. Tobacco day for me: Director’s Cut and Nashville County. Some tasty tobacco, I have to say.

In a Savinelli straight billiard and a meerschaum bent apple, respectively.

Currently enjoying a tin of Eicken's Dark Flake Navy Cut a friend gave me recently.   My friend also gave me an unopened tin of H Simmons Burlington Reserve Blend - but after reading the review on this site, not so sure it's worth opening.

Smoking some clan in a meerschaum. Can't really get used to this stuff but it's quite unique, I'll give it that.

I remember getting my hands on a pouch of Clan in the 80’s. I don’t recall it being as terrible as so many people make it out to be, but then again I never have sought out another pouch of it. 🙂

I’m back on the old 1792 for the first smoke of the day/night. I need something dependably good after a tiring day. Few blends fulfill that requirement as magnificently as SG 1792.
In the IMP bent apple.

I got hit by that provirus going around. Man that was unbelievably unpleasant. I'm up but not 100%. Smoking some Haunted Bookshop in a cob. Then I'm going to try Royal Yacht.

Decided to move back to a Burley Blend this afternoon for a bit of a change, Virginias always taste all the more delicious to me afterwards as well. I’m smoking HU Dockworker from 2015 in a cob.

I was out and about all day yesterday, so I had a few bowls of Sutliff Creme Brule. It has such a nice room note and I have never heard a harsh word from passers-by.

Royal Jersey Perique Mixture, in the bent apple. This is a delicious tobacco and I’m glad I bought a few tins more. Highly recommended. Expensive, though 😏

30+£ is pricey. The last time I bought some here I paid $18.00 US. Regardless they, like most other UK retailers won’t ship to the US. I just read their website reasons for that and they were almost comical, claiming that pipe tobacco can’t be shipped in the US even by American companies. I think they just don’t want to do the paperwork.

Is it possible for you to get a tobacco tin sent by me from Brazil? No costumer service to annoy you when the package arrive from abroad?

I'm taking it easy today. Having some Timeless in a cob.  Haunted Bookshop and Royal Yacht yesterday on an empty stomach was not a good idea. 🤢🤮🤢🤮

In a BriarWorks Classic.

I’ve been smoking GH Kendal Dark in a small bowl antique meerschaum this afternoon. Short but satisfying smokes.

I’ve often wondered about such small bowls. I imagine that I’d just start getting into it when it would be over! 😄 It always takes me a little while to get a disc of ash on top. And, for me, that’s when the flavours really start to reveal themselves. How is it possible in such a small pipe? Are there any differences in mechanics or techniques? Can you only use it with particular types of tobacco?

I only use this pipe and a couple others with really small bowls for shag cut tobaccos, which the Kendal Dark I have is. Packed properly it’s a good fifteen minute smoke. Any other tobacco cuts and the pipe would be finished at about the same time as it got truly lit 🙂
