RIP Country Squire's Middle Earth line

The Country Squire removed their highly beloved Middle Earth line (Old Toby, Bag End, Rivendell, Green Dragon, Second Breakfast etc.) from their website.

Apparently they eventually ran into licensing issues which I guess was just a matter of time.

They'll rebrand and rerelease the same blends under different names. A little sad since I always liked the association of their blends with the Tolkien universe which also contributed to the charm of the Country Squire.

But the good thing is those blends will continue to be available and it's not another Frog Morton situation.

A pity. There were some decent blends in that lineup. I also hope they rebrand them with a little tweak in the naming and packaging

For sure. I hope the same. With a little creativity a similarity to the previous blend names should be doable.

I am sure Jon David will figure out how best to handle this. It is a shame that WB felt the need to pursue it.

Any word on when they are going to launch them again?! It's just not the same hopping onto the site and not seeing "middle earth blends" 🙁

According to someone on Reddit who said he called them it should only take a week or two. Let's hope they'll manage it this fast.
