This is a very smooth, well balanced aromatic which, other than the flavouring ingredients might suggest, is not fruity. On the contrary it's rather on the dry side tastewise, which in my book is a good thing.

The orange that is mentioned is noticeable but in no way in the foreground. It adds a little sweetness reminiscent to that of dried fruit to an overall nuttiness which I suspect comes from the burley plus some added casing. There are hints of cocoa/chocolate as well.

The tobaccos are not too much subdued by the flavouring, but it is unmistakenly an aromatic and on their own the tobaccos wouldn't provide enough to keep me interested. But as it is it works very well and I truly enjoyed smoking it.

The blend has a creamy quality, especially in the retrohale, and I must restrain myself a little to not inhale it like cigarette smoke. It's very mild on the tongue and palate and is suited for beginners I think.

As with most aromatics this one requires a little room and is best smoked out of a larger bowl and lightly packed. Then it burns fairly well, but needs a little more than average relights. This doesn't compromise the taste, though. Tongue bite is unlikely but it can get a little rough if smoked too eagerly.

I smoke most of my aros with a filter, so did I with this one, but it can be smoked without one as well.

It goes well with coffee or black tea and is an excellent morning and afternoon tobacco.

Room note is a definite crowd pleaser.

Solid, well earned three stars.

P.S. I hadn't smoked it for a long time since I have so many tobaccos open and I'd somehow forgotten about it. It sat in its original tin which closes very tight and is still in the condition it came in 2 years ago (which is perfect). I believe it's even gotten better. So that's another plus.
