Nat Sherman 414 Nat Sherman 85th Anniversary
(3.00)
Medium-bodied blend of stoved Virginia, Cyprian Latakia, Turkish ribbon and Perique. This is a new approach to English blends where Oriental tobacco and Perique play dominant roles.

When Nat Sherman released their 85th Anniversary blend they included one of their 85th Anniversary Cigars with each order over $50 which I thought was a nice touch. As for the tobacco; it was an Oriental forward blend with the Perique very noticeable. I've noted in the past that Oriental/Perique combinations can be a little overwhelming in the Perique department but not with 85th Anniversary. The stoved Virginia added body although not a lot of strength and the Latakia was deep in the background but still noticeable. A quite different smoke for me that I would heartily recommend to those who enjoy their Perique without it being covered by fuller tasting tobacco.
