The woody, earthy, lightly floral, dry and slightly sweet and sour Turkish takes a little of the lead over the other components. The nutty, earthy, woody burley has very little sweetness in a support role. The grassy, citrusy Virginia is noticeable and just rises above being a condiment. The strength is a step or so past the mild level, while the taste is just past the center of mild to medium. The nic-hit is a tad shy of the strength threshold. No bite or rough edges. Burns cool, clean and slightly fast with a very consistent flavor to the finish. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and needs few relights. Has a decent after taste. An all day smoke that should have more going for it than it does as the varietals lack depth. Two and a half stars mainly because of the Turkish.

I use this blend with burley and latakia and PS dark fired to make a very dry smoke. Some folks tube this blend and I have done this. I find it useful for both uses. Great product.

This is a good utility tobacco for me. I roll it, tube it, or stuff it in a pipe. Rolled in a cigarette it like a weak Camel, needs more Turkish maybe. In the pipe it is something of a nothing special smoke, no pronounced flavor, not a lot of nicotine.
