When I open the pouch what greets me could be cigarette tobacco. The colour, the smell and the strands are very slight. The aroma offers nothing special, just a plain old Virginia one. A better area is the hydration, one of the few high points for this! The taste is similar to a cigarette, there's just a bit more citrus to it. The nicotine is again cigarette strength, is this really pipe tobacco?! I find the consistency of the smoke quite thin, yes, again like a cigarette! An area where this helps is it doesn't plume the room with too much smoke so it would probably make a good choice to smoke in company.
I can't say I'm overly impressed with this one, I find it incredibly boring. Not recommended.
The gold and bronze Virginias offers some citrus, bread, a lot of hay/grass, a few drops of honey, and a fair amount of unattractive, bitter acidity and a few cigarette notes. The strength and nic-hit are a couple of steps past the mild mark, while the taste is a rung past that, falling just short of the center of mild to medium. May bite a fast puffer as well as provide a little harshness. The tobaccos are obviously young. Burns warm at a fast pace with an unpleasant after taste. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires few relights. It’s in the all day smoke category.
Glad I only bought 15 grams of this , sold loose by my local tobacconist . On first few puffs thought is was quite pleasant soon became hot and acrid . It's a va obviously . Too fine a cut , not suitable for a pipe , Stevie bs review says it all . A generous 2 stars.
