Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. Dark Virginia Cavendish Liquorice

(2.00)
DVC stands for Dark Virginia Cavendish, produced by heating Virginia leaf with lots of steam. This process removes a lot of the stronger elements in the leaf resulting in a mild smoke. The addition of Liquorice flavouring complements the blend.

Gawith Hoggarth-DVC Liquorice. I was expecting this to taste like cough syrup as their Brown Twist Liquorice Plum did but thankfully it's nowhere near as toxic tasting!

The nose from the pouch gives a good suggestion of liquorice but this isn't anywhere near as strong in the taste. The liquorice comes through very slightly in the smoke, a gentle embellishment to the flavour. The majority of the flavour geos to the natural sweet taste of the Cavendish.

Nicotine is very mild. That's fine by me but some folks may be disappointed.

I'm not a fan of the room note, tolerable at best. Me and my dog have an accord on this subject too as she skulked out the room!

Apart from the room note this isn't that bad. It's alright but that sadly isn't enough for anymore than two stars.
