The Virginia is citrusy with a little dark fruit, and a little grass and earth. The Oriental/Turkish is mildly smoky, dry and woody in the background. The Cyprian latakia is a major component, but it's not bold, mostly a mild to medium toned down smoky woodiness. I think there's a pinch of black cavendish in the blend or there's a very lightly applied topping. It's kind of hard to tell, but I'm betting on the cavendish, which is unsweetened. Has little nicotine and won't bite. Burns cool at a reasonable pace with a consistent flavor. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and needs an average number of relights. The after taste is okay, but short lived. Can be an all day smoke.
I got this one as a gift, with some other blends from the same shop.
I don't think there is anything really good or bad to say about this blend. It's pretty straight forward English. It smokes pretty well and it tastes nice enough. It doesn't look like much in the bag to be honest. I think I noticed a taste that reminded me of royal jelly a bit while smoking it. It is very well balanced and pleasant to smoke. It does lack a distinguishing charector however. I have an assortment of other blends and two flakes made by Strauss tobacconist, so I'm looking forward to trying the others.
