Kolhase & Kopp - Winter Edition 2014.

I think it's impossible to smoke this and not feel in the Christmas spirit!

The blend covers all the different shapes and sizes, right from some tiny bits, about a millimetre long, all the way up to a good amount of larger broken flake pieces. To be fair it does need a short airing first, it's not saturated but it requires a few hours opened up. The aroma? Oh wow! It immediately suggests Christmas time. At the front of the smell is a full Orange note, with a superb spicy hit from the Cinnamon and a brilliant fondant note.

I get mine lit and am imminently blown away by the taste. The tobaccos are at a lovely balance to one and other, neither too harsh nor weak but the magic comes from the added tastes. All the way through there is a truly scintillating citrus flavour from the Orange whilst the next in line is the Cinnamon , a lively spicy touch. As it burns down it stays consistent and even, only needing re-lighting if completely ignored and left alone. The nicotine is at a perfectly medium amount and also it's easy to inhale the smoke to gain nicotine satisfaction. A negative (for me) is it can issue a slight nip to my tongue, not at all harsh but a really small one so by gently sipping it the enjoyment is totally un-disturbed. To finish on another positive, the room-note is superb, it has a brilliant Orange and Cinnamon fragrance to it which finishes the smoking with a Christmas type note left in the room!
