E. A. Carey Highland Fling
(2.00)
The foundations of this blend are derived from a heady mix of golden mature Virginia combined with the best Burley available, whilst Black Cavendish ensures sweetness and aroma in the taste. The blend is topped off using spicy flavours and a wee dram of Highland Whiskey.

Carey's - Highland Fling.
With the smell from the mix it's easy to notice the whiskey and spices, I'm not sure if clove is one of the ingredients but I can definitely pick clove out in the smell.
The flavour has again a noticeable clove addition to it, the whiskey is also recognizable but the spicy/clovey side outweighs it somewhat. To be honest, this tastes very different to any other blend I have tried! Sadly there is another point that I find disagreeable, the temperature and bite. Right from the off this is too warm, a poor quality that is increased a little by some tongue bite, it's not a really heavy biter but whether it's tongue bite or heat it's not a comfortable experience! Out of the tobacco tastes the only one I can pick out is the Black Cavendish, the rest seems a little covered by the topping. The nicotine is quite light, it takes some large puffs to get any of it. After smoking this my mouth is left with a sort of sticky taste in it which isn't pleasant at all!
I score Highland fling two stars rather than one as I feel it just isn't bad enough to score only one, but only just!
