My impressions come from an older tin of Mountain Leaf before Lane went strictly to pouch blends.
Aging doesn't really mellow Burley much in my opinion. It will certainly alter the intended taste of aromatic blends though. I think Mountain Leaf's aromatic agents in my tin were very hard to detect. My palate engaged mostly quality Burley leaf that never got bitter near the end of the bowl.
This one burned cool and dry - but very fast.
Although not a bad blend, Mountain Leaf was very uninspiring. And, if I found another tin on ebay, I would not place a bid.

This tobacco is very relaxing and has a nice roomnote. My girlfriend even liked the smell as well as the taste! Homerun right fellas! It has a taste of honey, its a sweet cavendish for sure. I dont smoke this all to often, but it is good to have before bed. Not to strong or overpowering. It is also called "Mountain Gold" at my smoke shop. So all in all as Bad Billy K would say, "its a good smoke"!..Enjoy! M.O.Z.Z.M.A.N.N

This has got to be Lane Limited's best tobacco. It's burley { a good quality burley at that } flavored with either rum and maple or rum and honey. For all you guys and gals who were expecting Rum and Maple Blend #53 to taste like its name, try Mountain leaf. It's sweet tasting with a sweet aroma and it has ample nicotine kick too. As with all aromatics {or most} it can get hot if you smoke too fast. Go slow and easy and relish this blend. The way it smells in the tin is how it smells and tastes when smoked. This is a treat enjoy!

Here is a good high quality everyday sweet cavendish. Made mostly from white Tennessee Burley it is sweetened with what seems to be honey. The cut is loose cut flake rubbed out most completely. It burns really well and has a great tobacco taste. The tin aroma is wonderfully sweet and burley warm. Enjoy
