A formidable Virginia/Perique blend that is our personal all-day smoke. Premium red and yellow Virginias are perfectly balanced with unsweetened black cavendish and fine Louisiana perique for a full bodied, complex smoke. When we finished the last version of this blend what came to mind was a hard-working man of the field with a rustic blasted pipe clenched between his teeth which was filled with this blend.

This is a really nice VaPer. I did not notice the contribution of any cavendish; I honestly tasted none during my smoking.
What I did notice was tangy, high-quality Virginias with some peppery perique. The perique asserted itself throughout. This blend was more tangy and savory than sweet. While I personally prefer a touch more sweetness, this is a tasty blend that burns well. I highly recommend it to VaPer smokers. And the Billow shop representatives at the 2014 Chicago Pipe Show are friendly and informative. I plan on smoking more of their products.
