I had a blast not long ago pulling out some of the old Owl Shop pouches I had in stock. Although very dry (wish I had marked the date, had to be 20 years old), Salisbury Street still imparted a rich dark chocolate taste with not much true tobacco flavor. But, it smoked cool and dry and I suspect the dissipation of the casing had something to do with that. I've never before experienced smoking an aromatic where I truly did think I was smoking whatever the added flavor might be and nothing else... until I took a recent stroll down Salisbury Street.
