The Virginia cavendish provides grass and citrus, and a minor honey note. The black cavendish is sugary and is almost as noticeable as the Virginia. The vanilla topping is more obvious than the caramel, and they hide much of the tobaccos. The strength is mild, while the taste is a step past that mark. Barely has any nicotine. Won't bite or get harsh, and has no rough edges. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable pace with a very consistent flavor that translates to the short lived after taste. Requires a few relights, and leaves some moisture in the bowl, but no goop. Has an attractive room note. An all day smoke.

One of my all-around goto aromatics; I always keep a stock of this around. Smooth, burns cool, and though fairly well cased it doesn't leave too much goop in the bowl afterwards. A little diligence during the smoke will ensure it remains cool throughout the smoke. Can be a little hassle to get it started sometimes depending on its moisture content - a little drying does help.

I personally enjoy it more in smaller or medium bowled pipes but that's just personal preference; I do find the dottle increases significantly in larger bowled pipes after prolonged smoking sessions (50+ minutes).

Definitely a pleasant smoke for beginners and those just getting into the hobby. For new smokers- be advised you can still easily burn yourself if you rip this tobacco, take it slow and pack appropriately. Taste is very pleasant with fine notes of caramel and vanilla that pair well with the sweetness of the Virginia. I found it to be slightly too moist out of the bag, but slight drying provides a consistent smoke that requires minimal relighting. 2-3 relights in a 1-1.5 hour session. As mentioned this blend is decently moist, with that moisture you may experience slight dottle, but if you are sure to clean the pipe after use you will not have any issues.
