An easy, mildly aromatic smoke draws most of its sweetness from carefully selected Virginias, with just enough burley to round out the flavor. A pleasant smoke for any time of day.
This was my introduction to pipe smoking. It smells vaguely of chocolate—not a sickly sweet frosting, but the dark powdered chocolate. In the bag, it has a slightly sweet fragrance, but nothing like other full-on aromatics. She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed enjoys the room note and is quite happy to knit while I smoke this.
The name is misleading: I'll smoke this any time.
As another reviewer noted, it is somewhat moist and benefits from a little drying out. 15-30 minutes was perfect for me. Despite that, it's cool dry smoke, with mild flavor and no bite. It won't gunk up your pipe, either.
This here is an excellent all day blend. The description up top says it all! I'm not much of an aromatic man but this is hardly an aromatic! Yes it smells good but the VA's and the Burley make it a very pleasant smoke. Burns to a nice white ash. I would suggest letting it air out 15 min or so before ya light up. I look forward to new blends from Matt Strong.
Edit* I just revisited this blend and while it's still a good starter tobacco, I find that it really doesn't do anything for me anymore. In fact it really just tastes like 1Q.
P.S. great to smoke while mowing the lawn.
Similar Blends: 1Q, Captain Black (White), ect, ect..
