The black cavendish seems to have a very mild sugariness, but the star is the silky, creamy smooth chocolate topping. It has a moderate depth of flavor that doesn't weaken or get harsh at any time during the experience. There is a mild tobacco taste in here, too. Has no nicotine. Won't bite even if pushed, and has no roughness. Burns cool, clean and easy at a moderate rate, and requires few relights. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl. Has a very pleasant after taste and room note. By design, it's a fairly one dimensional smoke that wears well during your day.

Yum... No ashtray or cigarette taste what so ever (just had a bad experience with my first bowl of C&D Autumn Evening). Nice, mild hot cocoa taste as advertised. Burned cool and dry all the way to the bottom of the bowl.

Sutliff Tobacco Company - Hot Chocolate B28.

I fancied a change this morning, a change to my morning smoke being a natural blend; VaPer, Balkan, etc. So I 'threw caution to the wind' and grabbed an aromatic: Hot Chocolate B28. Well, I've been smoking it nonstop since first thing!

It arrives as a jet black, heavenly smelling, coarse, ribbon. My pouch had excellent moisture to it, making no drying time a requisite.

The chocolate gives only a gentle nuance until the final part of a bowl. Up until the end I get a mild, chocolate-creaminess, the slightly bitter side of the chocolate doesn't present itself until the end. B28 gives a steady, cool, burn, distributing a smoke which wouldn't bite the wimpiest of pipers! Some blends pair with spirits, some beers, but this goes perfectly with a creamy cappuccino; a few sugars and a good squirt of aerosol cream!

Nicotine: mild. Room-note: scrumptious.

Hot Chocolate B28? Love it! Highly recommended:

Four stars.

In The Pouch- A very faint alcohol smell. Rich cocoa and chocolate with the cocoa being predominate. Contains some large pieces and stems. Slightly wet, sticky and benefits from some drying time.

In The Bowl- The chocolate flavor is not overpowering and doesn't weaken until the very end of the bowl. The cocoa is most noticeable. Tobacco taste is present beneath the toppings. The bowl can become hot at times, but no bite or harshness, just a slightly sweet creaminess. Very pleasant room note. Slight drying required fewer relights without losing any flavor. Slight dampness left in the bowl.

My first experience with a chocolate tobacco. Very tasty. I could smoke this all day and will purchase more.

Another Chocolate blend that came in my Chocolate sampler. I have stated before that my favorite Chocolate blend is McClelland's Chocolate Silk so any other Chocolate blend would have to be very special to knock SIlk off its pedestal. B28 is another all black Cavendish with a very nice smelling cocoa aroma both in the bag and while burning. No bite and almost no nicotine which makes for a great first smoke for a new pipe smoker. Burned clean and left very little dottle. Probably third on my list of Chocolate blends and comes at a great price.

This is a delicious tobacco. I agree completely with Philbert69 when he says it has no ashtray or cigarette taste...just hot cocoa. BUT!!! And it's a BIG but! If you smoke this just as you receive it from whoever sent it to you, you won't like it much.

Like many tobaccos, it ships soaking wet. If you load your pipe and light it up, you'll have a hard time keeping it lit. And the moisture in the tobacco will create lots of steam...hot enough to burn your tongue! And I find that the extra steam prevents the full smell and taste from coming through.

Instead, dry it out before smoking it. I often spread a thin layer of the tobacco on a piece of paper in my office (or at home) and leave it there for a few days. Or I'll load a pipe and let it sit for a couple of days before lighting it up.

When dried some, it's a wonderful smoke with my morning coffee...or as a dessert smoke after dinner. And, as I saw in other reviews, it even leaves a mouth feel similar to drinking hot chocolate. Delicious!

After some disappointing tries with other brands I had really high hopes for Cobblestone but it turned out to be my biggest let down yet. If I shoved my nose into the tin I could almost imagine what it should smell like & smoking it was equally disappointing. I felt the warmth of the cob bowl & saw the smoke but there was absolutely no flavor, no note, nothing. calling this a "mild" tobacco is both overstating it & giving it more credit than it deserves. The nicest thing I can say is that the bite is as nonexistent as the flavor.
