McCranie's Friar's 1804

(4.00)
A new taste in dark, fire-cured Cavendish. Blended with light, string-cut Virginia and mild Maryland tobaccos, then aged with the rich mellow taste of port wine. A most rewarding gentleman's mixture.

I really like the majority of the McCranie blends. I know that both Todd and Trent have created some of these and don't get the credit they deserve for coming up with some pretty fine stuff. Friar's 1804 was a fun smoke for me. I liked the strength of the blend and the alcohol casing. It was somewhat similar to HOW's Bond Street and had the old fashioned flavor I enjoy. It is not a delicate blend so puff slowly and enjoy the flavors and the casing, which adds rather than detracts.
