Alt Smokers Pipes A.S.P. Thornhill Mixture

(3.00)
A pipe tobacco blend for the ages. White Burley forms the base for this flavorful blend, while Red Virginia adds a subtle sweetness, and finally a pinch of Perique is added for a nice "Zing". It is a mildly sweet, nutty mix with a zesty touch. The room aroma is intoxicating and provides a perfect all day smoke!

Was gifted a generous sample recently and have been smoking it nonstop for over a week. The white burley used is of very good quality and the first few puffs remind me slightly of Edgeworth. The sweetness of the red virginias comes in at mid-bowl and the flavor intensifies with the addition of peppery perique near the bottom of the bowl. Very nice evolution of flavors and a high-quality smoke. It should be available for purchase within the next few weeks, and I am going to purchase several tins once it hits the P&C website.

I remember back when the A.S.P. group was pandering to have this one tinned up for sale. Some tins were purchased, and yes, I had to get a couple. Still have one that has not been opened. Light VaPer but with some powder in the keg due to some smooth and ripe burley that added to the presentation. I thought the blend was overall a good one, but the Virginia was a little on the "fresh" tasting side. That's why this second tin is going to sit for a few more years.
