Sentimiento Nacional Choctaw
(3.75)
Genuine American blend. It’s a true tribute to the Choctaw tribe [original creator of the perique tobacco, wrongly credited to Pierre Chenet, a Frenchman whose nickname was “Perique”, who learned the difficult technique to produce this wonderful kind of tobacco]. It consists of matured Virginia, bright Virginia, pure perique from St. James Parrish, and burley extra. It’s an ancient and tasty kind of natural mixture.

The matured Virginia and bright Virginia offer some stewed dark fruitiness, some citrus, wood, and grass, a touch of the floral, and a fair amount of rugged earthiness. The very woody, earthy, nutty burley also has a touch of cocoa, cigar and savoriness in a support role. The spicy, plummy, prune-like, tingly perique is just a little more than a secondary player. The strength and taste levels start out at the medium level, and gains a little potency as you go along, settling just below the center of medium to full. The nic-hit is a little closer to medium than it is to mild. Won’t bite, but has a minimal rough edge at times. Burns fairly cool and clean at a slightly fast pace with very consistent and natural flavors all the way to the end. Hardly leaves any dampness in the bowl, and requires few relights. Has a very pleasant, lightly lingering after taste, and stronger room note. Not an all day smoke. I recommend a cob for this.

Wonderful and original mixture from Tabacos SN that offers a fresh, sweet and tangy smoke. High quality virginias and a pretty decent percentage of perique are the highlights of this special and delicious tobacco. An all-day smoke for those looking for natural and uncommon blends. A solid four stars for another masterpiece from Antonio Petti!! Highly recommended.

Sweet VA with a nice touch of Perique and a bit Burley is what this blend is all about . In taste it's quite similar to Haddo's Delight but smoother and with less Perique . I really enjoyed this one from Toni .

A real american mixture from master blender Tony Petti. Combines high quality Virginias, big percentage of Perique and some Burley wich adds more strenght. The best tobaccos from Argentina and Saint James Perique together for an excellent blend. Full taste, dry smoke and no bite at all, just natural and spicy tobacco.
