Fine & Elegant was my third tobacco ever (preceeded always by mediocre aromatic blends). What a pleasant surprise! I loved the smell and the taste, which i found to be of Orange Blossom Water (my grandma uses it when baking cakes and stuff). It smoked quite cool and I was greeted by the presence of some sweet cavendish treated tobaccos. I would definetly buy this blend again. (W.O Larsen seems to be THE aromatic-blend-type brand)

This is as excellent tobacco, but often misunderstood. Here's why. The pouch smell is so delightful (citruses with a bit of honey), you can't resist to try it right there. You should resist. You should dry it, or jar it for a while.

At opening the pouch smell is strong and aromatic, and the tobacco is often stuck to one big piece. That should ring the bells. It's way too moist to smoke right out of the pouch. It doesn't light easilly, it's hot, and I feel no taste there. Any. Maybe the room note is nice, but I smoke for my pleasure, I am note a scented candle, right?

In my experience it works if you dry the wole pouch a bit (or jar it for some months, probably works, or is even better but haven't tried it yet). I tried air-drying for one smoke – it's not the real thing. I know it's worth it, and I love this tobacco, so I dry the whole pouch. I open it, leave for half an hour a day opened, shake it a little, and so on. And after a week or so, I smoke the first bowl. Two weeks is better. Surprisingly the pouch smell is still amazing when dryed, and the taste is the same. Maybe a little bit more citruses, less honey, but quite similar. Some natural vanillish virginia tastes come and go as well, but it's mostly the citruses, and on a very... can't put it better: fine and elegant way. A very nice, elegant and full aroma.

This is indeed a fine and elegant tobacco. You just need some patience with it.
Pipe Used: mostly big bowls
Age When Smoked: at least a week or two after opening!

Smells very aromatic out of the pouch. Some kinds of fruits and a sweet smell of amaretto and a little bit citrus. It is not to wet and burns well. The mixture consists of a mix of loose cut and ready rubbed Black Cavendish (for insiders: double-fermented), Virginia and Burley tobacco. When I smoke this tobacco I taste lemon and some kind of orange. So, for someone who likes the taste of lemon and orange it's perfect. For me not so. There are absolutely no tongue bites.

This is the only aromatic i have ever had that tastes this close to how it smells. The taste almost exactly like the smell. Very sweet a little citrusy and a little fruity. Almost like a christmas time fruit cake. The topping effeminately dominates the flavor. But it is actually not too bad if you like citrusy fruits. A little too sweet for my liking. Never seen it in america. Some friends from europe have been sending me tobaccos all aromatics. Very glad because i had almost given up on aromatics but these european ones are much different and much better in my opinion. Recommended if you enjoy citrus.

I personally do not, so this will not be enjoyed very often

This tobacco is one of my favorits, is has a very fine flavour somehow creamy, loos cut and is simply delicious. Easy to pack the bowl and burns good. The classic tobacco mix: Black Cavendish, Virginia and Burly makes a stimulating smoking time.

On the pouch it read 'Virginia, Burley and Black Cavendish with a touch of Latakia' and I assumed it would be a kind of 'english' mixture. Rather more an aromatic - I like both aromatics and english mixtures so that was not a problem - with a distinctive taste of dry apricot in the pouch. Nice smoke for an aromatic. Just that.

This tobacco is similar to all the other W.O. Larsen aromatics of this line but with a small pinch of citrus added in. It is nothing special, but a quality product and still mildly enjoyable.

One July night, “takis” gave a little of my beloved W.O. Larsen's blend, in order to try it. After finishing our delicious dinner and drank some good wine, this blend almost ruined my evening. Raisins and lemon (bleagh) flavors are added to a mixture of Burley, Cavendish and Virginia in order to destroy it. Fortunately my friend “takis” did not insist to give me a second pouch. I wouldn't stand it. It has been some time since I last smelled scented tissues. No need to go in further analysis of this tobacco. Room note is good. I think it attracted some mosquitoes.
