The Cyprian latakia is smoky and woody, and is the main star of the blend. It's well complimented by the earthy, nutty, slightly sharp white burley. The burley is quality choice as is the lemon Virginia that adds an enjoyable tangy sweetness an a few blades of grass. The mild rum topping is assisted by a complimentary raisin/stewed fruit note or two as well, and does sublimate the tobaccos a little. The nic-hit is just shy of being mild to medium. Won't bite or get harsh. A colorful blend that's pretty to look at, burns cool and clean at a moderate pace, and is complex with a multiplicity of flavors that don't crowd each other out. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. Has a pleasant after taste, and nearly is an all day smoke. Smoking it in a pipe with a wide bowl will enhance the experience, but any pipe will work for this mixture.

Package note of smoky, rum, and lemon. Tobacco is a mild of cube, course, and rubbed out flake. The brown and black tobacco has a little tan, and moister content is high. recommend drying a bit. Burns slow with many relights. The strength is medium and nic is mild. Flavoring is mild, with notes of rum, that stays with the smoke to the end. Taste is medium and very consistent, with notes of smoky, incense, mildly sour, very woody, toast bread, buttery nuts, tangy citrus, musty dry vegetation, spice, a mildly bitter lemon zest background note, and a peppery retro. Latakia is leading with Burley supporting and Virginias are keeping pace. Room note is pleasant to tolerable, and aftertaste is good.

A mild tasty smoke. The latakia is applied with a gentle hand. I did not get much of the rum flavor but the blend is smooth and of sweet subtle flavor. Did not build much strength as the bowl progressed.

The blend base is virginia with burly and a bit of latakia. Bag smell is of the rum, latakia is faint, brown and blond strands with the burly cubes falling to the bottom.

If you do not like this you can find an Altadis English (or balkan) blend that is just right for you since they have so many available, all in the mild/medium to medium range. I prefer a stronger blend in both nic and taste.

My favorite so far is Altadis English Oriental, which includes Smyrna for sweetness and a gentle touch of St James parish perique, enough latakia for me and burly for added strength.

But try a few and see if you find one that stands out for you.
