Apr 11, 2010 Strong Very Mild Full Pleasant
This new blend is truly a unique smoking experience. Not for the faint-hearted, it is strong (but not overwhelming) and a true aromatic, based largely on Perique, with a number of other dark & medium tobaccos in its secret blend, and just a little sweet flavour from Black Cavendish to mellow it. The taste is full-bodied; the aroma is hard to describe, different from any other tobacco I have tried, rich and earthy with the merest touch of smokiness. The room note is surprisingly pleasant, given the odd smell of Perique by itself.

The blend includes a wide variety of cuts and coarseness, but smokes very evenly if not too tightly tamped. It smokes well down to the very end. Although strong, it has only a moderate bite. This is a connoisseur's tobacco, definitely not for the new smoker. Four stars.

It is only available directly from the blender at present (2010); Old Morris (formerly E. A. Morris) is located in Victoria, BC Canada. It may be ordered via web or phone: Google "Old Morris" and select "Cigars" for their selection of pipe tobaccos.
