Good day everyone!

I will start first with some statement because as I noticed there is non reviews of timm’s no Name products and in this few years I will try to taste all of them and help out the piping community, in that series this will be the first one.

It comes in a 200g bag only. The bag or “tin” note is mainly some kind of sweet black fruit and maybe just a little bit of fine red wine, it smells really sweet. The cut is ribbon cut and some quadratic bright virginia, the most dominant part of this tobacco by look is the really dark black cavendish. In my opinion it is a real treat for the eye. In the bag I got the moisture was just on the spot.

Lights and packs very well no problem at all, like Timm’s no Name weiß, maybe it needs just a bit more relights but not much, I think the more experienced pipers would easily do it in one lighting. It smolders slowly and doesn’t get heated up. In the end it just leaves just some fine grey ash behind nothing else. There is no tongue bite at all. Maybe if you blow it of from your noise it might get just a little bit irritated (I say that because I does it very often with all my tobacco, sometimes half of the bowl is used that way). All in all, it is really gentle with your body.

The smoke it velvety and beautiful. The taste is not to complex, but it will be with you throe the whole bowl, it taste like some black fruit with just a drop of wine but doesn’t overwhelming it still has some tobacco feeling in the back ground, the black fruit is sweet and sour at the same time. The wine taste is just in the background peaking out time to time if you really want to taste it out you can but not dominant, also there is some woody notes from the tobacco. The tobacco is by taste and look is high quality.

For me it is toe to toe with the weiß witch I really like, and I’m happy about that I had the courage to order a bag of it. It can be an all-day smoke if you like the little heavier smokes other wise it can be overwhelming.

It is very well-made blend, I can recommend it for anyone. One of the few drawbacks is that it is only comes in big packs, but the solution is that if you liked the weiß but you want something with fruit you should order one of these.

Sorry for the bad grammar, English is not my first language, I hope it is still understandable.

Happy piping, enjoy your smoke!
