The burley is nutty with some molasses. The toasted cavendish offers a very mild honey. The bright Virginias are grassy with some citrus. You won’t notice them much because the deeply rich and creamy ripe cherry topping fairly much dominates them. The burley and Virginias basically serve to underline the cherry, although they do reveal themselves a little more as you get to the half way point. Even then, the cherry still holds center stage to the finish. Has no chemical or artificiality to the flavor. Has a very mild nic-hit. Burns at a moderate pace and requires few relights. Won’t bite or get harsh. Leaves just a little moisture in the bowl. Has a pleasant and lingering after taste and room note.

This blend has a solid foundation of burley, bright Virginias and Cavendish and you can really taste the tobacco, not just the topping. It is light-medium in the nicotine department. The good tobacco flavor and cherry taste stayed consistently enjoyable even smoking down at the heel of the bowl. The quality of the components is apparent upon close examination and results in a smoke that is mellow and smooth with no rough edges.

I won't get into all the specific tobacco details of this one. Rather, I'll simply relate my experiences with it.

The tobacco seemed drier in the bag than most of the other tobaccos I've gotten from Milan. It has a pleasant bag smell, and you can definitely smell the cherry. It packs well and burns clean all the way through, but unlike most of my other experiences with different Milan blends, you have to be a bit careful with this one, otherwise it can give you some bite. It won't bite as long as you sip, but don't make any heavy draws.

The cherry flavor is subtle, and not overpowering. The room note is the same. It's relatively pleasant, and won't offend those around you. Not my favorite Milan blend by any stretch, but it won't go to waste either. I'll smoke what I have, but I wouldn't buy it again.
