A hearty Latakia blend, full bodied and fragrant, but softened with a small amount of black Cavendish and brightened with a sprinkling of naturally sweet Carolina leaf. Full English.

If this was not the most powerful blend in the old Bufflehead line, then it had to be close. The Latakia presence was very pronounced from start to finish, and I liked the thick, creamy smoke that is not often associated with blends laced with this much Latakia. I suspect the unflavored Black Cavendish supported the blend as it kept the Latakia from being wispy while adding a little strength. A one dimensional blend, for sure. But a tasty one for Latakia lovers. If you have smoked Dan Tobacco's Old Ironsides, I think you will find Greater Scaup to be similiar.
