Brookfield Black Bourbon (No. 4)

The pouch aroma is of a light whiskey note and you can make out some of the tobacco as well.

Packing and lighting are very easy and the tobacco burns down hassle free and on the fast side. Tongue bite will not occur.

It tastes nicely like whiskey and the tobaccos used will actually join in and deliver a pleasant taste experience that does not leave us with a lot to be missed. The aroma lasts down to almost the end of the bowl. This is a very nice all day smoke, since once lit up you can forget about it entirely and just happily puff away, no matter what you are occupied with at the moment.

Aftertaste is slightly sweet and satisfying. The room note is like your typical whiskey flavoured blend and in any case on the nice side.

So do i recommend this blend? Yes, i do. This is a good, solid tobacco and for the money they ask for it you can't go wrong. Its completely hassle free to smoke and handle and anyone that likes not too heavy aromatics should be happy with this one.

Cheap as chips but don't let that put you off!

Upon opening I was reminded of Clan Aromatic in volume, density, dryness and a little in aroma. The first light also took me down this route, but I was quickly and pleasantly surprised by a mild whiskey aroma which stayed around to tease to the bottom of the bowl. The tobacco flavour began to develop about half way, I'd guess Virginia, burley and a hint of perique, because things got delicately and pleasantly spicy toward the end, but no trouble on the tongue.

My nearest tobacconist stocks this and says its a good seller, I can see why, it's a good 'un.

Surprisingly good aromatic tobacco. Flavouring does not cause headache and taste has enough strength.

It is an excellent mix value for money, without a doubt a rewarding experience and use as a daily mix.

She gives some soft whiskey flavor. You need to pack her tight so she burns cool and slow. She is a sipper and her flavor degrades if you push her. I pick up citrus, raisins, port wine, peat, amaretto, and cherry in her. She gives better nic than I expected.

What I like about her is that she is very natural, almost rustic tasting, and you get no sense that you are smoking an aromatic. For me, I get a similar feeling to when I am smoking a Virginia. 4 stars if packed tight, 1 star if packed loose.

Brookfield - Black Bourbon.

It can be called Ready Rubbed, Broken Flake, or Ribbons, the best description I could give is it's a medium cut and ready to be smoked! I've had this cellared for a few months, and despite the fact the pouch hasn't split, and the seal's not broken, it's too dry; smokeable, but I'd like more moisture. The aroma from the pouch has an undeniable whiskiness to it, and forgetting about the dryness, it's not all bad:

The whisky's of the strength I thought it was going to be from the pouch-note: easy to identify, yet there's not too much. Mind you, it seems a touch stronger at the beginning of the bowl. Along with the bourbon there's a superb Burley flavour- this is far stronger than the Virginia's grassy tones. I'd say the nicotine's smack on medium, an all day strength.

That's a few of the better points, now I'll highlight a few of the bad points: it burns way to hot, coupled with the speed it makes it quite unpleasant. Tongue bite now, it can be mischievous where that's concerned, unless careful measures are taken! And finally the room note isn't my cup of tea at all: simply boring.

This isn't all bad, the Burley's nice, but that's not enough, the low points spoil it. I'll be generous and give it two!
