Cornell & Diehl Strawberry Cavendish
(2.00)
A mixture of light and dark Cavendish infused with a Strawberry flavor that lasts to the bottom of the bowl. The clean white ash assures the smoker of the quality of the tobaccos while the fragrant aroma of fresh strawberries captivates those around you.
Notes: Reminiscent of Lane Ltd. Strawberry blend.

The strawberry taste is okay, not great, not bad either. It's not intense or over bearing, but it has an artificial, syrup flavor that sort of wears off some near the finish. If the taste was deeper - not stronger - I think it'd have greater appeal for aro smokers looking for this flavor. Has almost no nicotine. It burns at a moderate pace, but gets slightly harsh and cavendish tasting near the end. Won't bite. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, and needs an average number of relights. The after taste is routine. Can be an all day smoke.

A very pleasant taste. It's not only strawberry but certainly some nutty/pastry notes in there. This is another one of those blends that tastes much better when smoked slowly. I also find this blend smokes much better when packed tightly in the bowl. Excellent tin note and very pleasant room note.

Barely any flavor, strawberry or otherwise. Maybe a little sweet chemical like antifreeze. It tastes like tongue bite without really biting. I can't find anything to recommend about this blend. I haven't tasted anything like it to compare it to so I have to rate it on it's own. I smoke aros daily so it isn't because I don't like the type. Just no.

Great room note and the flavor last to the bottom of the bowl. The flavor is good and in no way overwellming. When you open the tin it has such a great aroma it makes you want to almost eat the tobacco. I enjoy it most as an after dinner smoke.

Cornell & Diehl - Strawberry Cavendish.
As you can see from the picture here, the brown Cavendish outweighs the black. It contains lots of quite fine ribbons and has a pleasing, mild strawberry, aroma. The moisture looked good.
The smoke isn't offensive, but nor is it anything phosphorescent or dazzling. It ignites with ease, and burns well, albeit a touch warm. The mild strawberry casing attempts to embellish the smoke, but instead gives a flat, insipid, boring flavour; I'd like more 'thwack!' and zest from the strawberries! Topping aside, the tobaccos don't taste too bad; as anticipated there's more brown Cavendish than black. A LOT more.
Nicotine: mild. Room-note: nice.
Strawberry Cavendish? Two stars sits well, in my opinion:
Somewhat recommended.

The strawberry casing in this blend is somewhat of a disappointment. The room note makes you wish the tobacco tasted that way. Still, while it is not the best, as a Cornell & Diehl, it's still better than a lot of what you'll find out there. It's not for everyone, but it's worth a try.
