Peterson Special Reserve 2008
(2.83)
A wonderful contrasting mixture of bright orange and dark Virginias, black cavendish and a hint of nutty burley. The rich aroma and unique flavor of citrus fruit with subtle notes of almonds, characterize this mellow but highly aromatic tobacco.

A good aromatic that fills the room with a fruity scent. The citrus notes come through about mid bowl. Like most aromatics this one had some bite. It burned hot for me.

A good quality aromatic as Peterson's usually are. Soft and tasty, little bite. A fruiter Sunset Breeze with softer hints of almond. The only problem with this blend is it comes in a non-vacumed tin so really it's a buy now - smoke now aromatic as are most of PETE'S yearly reserve blends. I suspect they release these for wife's and birthdays. Keeping both parties happy...no easy task. As it happens my wife loves a wee puff of this...and the tin delights her.

$25.00 USD for 100 gram tin. I've smoked about (5) bowels of this over the weekend and am ready to head back to my local pipe shop and buy him out. I really enjoy this blend. Great aroma, burns cool, packs beautifully and has a wonderful natural taste. Sweet to smoke, the blend has very good balance of flavors; one draw may note citrus, while another a more caramel or nutty taste. Highly recommend trying some, but only after I am able to stock up on (2) or (3) more tins.

This is a very colorful blend, ranging from black to white with all of the red and orange in between. The tin aroma is the distinct fragrance of citrus rind. This blend smoked much cooler than most Peterson aromatics which tend to give you a good bite when pushed. The citrus note actually gives a cooling effect when rolling past the tounge. There are good tobacco flavors here and the citrus note is always present. Although the citrus is not my favorate type of aromatic I thought this stuff was pretty good.

i tried this about 3 to 5 months ago and was looking forward to it its not bad but a bit sweet for me and a bit expensive a 50 gram tin would be ok but @£16 its a lot to pay if you are not sure if you are going to like it myself i have 1/3 of a tin left i will not be buying any more i would rather buy irish flake or university flake
