I tried this when a local tobacconist received a promotional sample. It seems that there was a number after the S.P.S., but I could be mistaken on that. I have been trying to track it down since then.
There was an aromatic quality to this blend, but it wasn?t overdone at all. The flavor of the underlying burley was ever-present, with the topping enhancing rather than stealing the show. It felt a bit moist to me, but every bowl I smoked burned fairly dry with no need for excessive pipe cleaner use.
The taste remained consistent throughout the bowl, the only real difference being a slightly bitter finish. SPS was a cool smoke and remained lit easily. The sweet-nutty flavor with the hint of topping made for a pleasant change of pace.
