I was disappointed with this blend after tasting Wilshire and Midnight. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I can say if you enjoy Wilshire or Midnight, Sweet English will disappoint you. I won't be buying it again.
I've smoked two or three bowls of Sweet English. The first one and maybe the second one didn't impress me much. The bowl I just smoked was the best so far. Maybe the pipe was ghosting the few bowls of Margate I have smoked in it, I dunno. Anyway, this tobacco, although not a real aromatic in my opinion, has some sweetness to it and a slightly spicy note as well although you have to be looking for it. I'm sure it is cased with some sort of flavoring thereby, technically making it an aromatic. However, that being said, it has a definite although not powerful English flavor to it. It is a nice change when you don't really want a kick you in the groin English but cannot stomach an aromatic. It has the best of both worlds in my opinion. I recommend you at least give this one a try!
Well, now that I've smoked a fair amount of this tobacco I have to edit my original review. This is NOT good tobac.! This stuff has imparted a nasty sour smell to my nice little Savinelli. This tobac. cannot decide if it's an aromatic or an English therefore, it does neither acceptably. I cannot recommend this tobacco now.
