Kohlhase & Kopp - Fancy.
The current description on here is completely incorrect. 1: it's not a blend of only Cavendish, there's also Black Cavendish and Virginia. 2: it's not a straight ribbon but more of a mixture. 3: the flavouring used isn't other/misc., it's clearly nuts and vanilla.
Now, to tell the truth I only ordered this as I'd never heard of it before, I suppose curiosity won the battle there! I had no idea just how pleasant a smoke it was going to be. The aromatic addition is exactly the kind of flavour want from an aro' blend: nuts and vanilla cream, leaving an aftertaste like marzipan. To be fair, it seems sweeter for the initial period, it takes a few minutes for the nuts to catch up. On the negative side it can bite a bit, and the burn can be a little too warm, so a gentle cadence improves the experience there.
The nicotine falls just below medium, so it would probably suit the evening slot nicely, and the room-note's very enjoyable.
Despite the slight bite this still scores highly:
Four stars.

I bought a pouch of Fancy from KaDeWe in Berlin and I'm very glad for this. It's an enjoyable pipe tobacco with pure aromatics, ideal as company for a breakfast under the sun.

I got this Tobacco when I ordered a Vauen pipe from Germany. Can't find this blend in the USA. This is very close to Carolina Rose Which you can find in th USA. This blend is more enjoyable for the smoker then the person stuck in the room with you while U R smokin it. The taste is Apple and Cherry mix with a touch of Oriental to give it zest. FUN STUFF. TRY IT IF U CAN FIND IT.
