No tobacco taste to speak of. The strawberry is all you'll notice, and it's a little syrupy at times, some chemical notes, and near the finish, can be acrid. Has almost no nicotine. Burns too well and can bite, even if you puff slowly. Leaves some moisture in the bowl, and needs a few relights. Has an unpleasant after taste. Not really an all day smoke.

As a new pipe smoker i went down to the local tobacco shop here in Wichita, there are not many in town. I wanted something mild to start all that they have a big jars with clamp on lids of pipe tobacco fine by me I can buy a bucks worth at a time and give it a little shot in a cob pipe. I got Strawberry it smelled great in the big jar I got it home in the cob and found I love the sorta strong tobacco with strawberry smell I get off it and hate the heat it makes in my mouth, I think it may be that I puff to much and make it hatter than it needs to be but its hot and not all that great tasting.. This is my first review hope I did ok..

A mild berry flavored aromatic that burns really hot and will bite the tongue if vigorously smoked. The choice of tobacco's is typical for this kind of blend and the casing overpowers any of of the redeeming qualities of the tobacco itself. Not at all for me. Nice room note however.
Pipe Used: Briars, meerschaums or cobs for aro's

Strawberry Quick anyone? This tobacco blend is an aromatic in excelsis! The topping is so strong that the aroma bleeds through the thick plastic pouch. Appearance is mostly golden leaf with a few darker leaves popping up here and there. Packing is easy, lighting is easy once you let this air out for a FEW DAYS. Flavor is STRAWBERRY, STRAWBERRY, STAWBERRY! I was unable to taste the tobacco in this blend. It bit my tongue pretty good trying to get tobacco flavor so do be careful to puff slowly. Even towards the bottom of the bowl, all you get is strawberry. The room note is definitely pleasing. When it was over, lots of goopy dottle was left (My poor pipe!). I'm not against aromatics, but this one is over the top for me. I suppose if you like a strong aromatic, this may be your cup of tea, but I prefer my strawberry Quick in my milk, NOT in my pipe. After about five bowls I gave up, the bag is now in my work vehicle and makes an excellent car odorizer. Rating 1 out of 5 points....

Well may be discontinued, but, I found a jar. Heading down the beach stopped off at a local tobacco shop, when will I learn, mostly cigars, cigarettes, lighters, junk. Had a rack under the window with the traditional renaming bad pipe tobacco brands to the local locale, i.e. Black Beard, Queen Anne's Revenge. At the bottom found a full jar of this stuff, Strawberry, how bad could it be? I purchased an ounce, got almost two, thought this was odd. It smells great in the jar, it smells nice in the air, it starts to bake the tongue right off the bat, it smokes the hottest of anything I have tried. I have purchased tobacco that you need to take it easy to cut down on tongue bite and heat, but, there is no way to smoke this stuff. If you are headed to Kitty Hawk, NC stop in, I am sure they will have this stuff sitting there aging. To quote Comic Book Guy, "worst"....tobacco..."ever".

I agree whole-heartedly with the other reviewers. This is a blend that Lane will be regretting ever coming up with for a long time. MUCH too strong even for a strawberry lover like myself. However I feel that true lovers of Lane tobaccos won?t hold this against them since they have such a wide menu of hits.

Ok, what sadistic person designed this stuff ? This represents the opposite of everything I like. No tobacco taste and a flavoring so strong it burns the gums. Now I did mix it with lots and lots of burley which finally got it to a smokeable level, otherwise I would of tossed the bag away. You would really have to love strawberry flavoring to begin to enjoy this. The residue left in the pipe is enormous from the flavoring but it does leave your pipe smelling like strawberries. What a mess this stuff is, but I do understand from my local tobacco shop that some people like this. Yeesh !

Well my story is almost identical to Captn Dan's. I was coerced by some friends at a local pipe shop to try this. In matter of fact it was the same pipe shop! Is there a conspiracy going on here? I occasionally smoke aromatics but I would not smoke this one again. There are many other high quality aromatics out there and this is just a waste of time. It does smell very good in the pouch and while smoked if you like the smell of strawberry air freshner. One other thing to note on this blend, the strawberry smell and taste is very hard to remove from your pipe even after 1 smoke!

After trying this blend when used as a condiment in a cordial, my friends coerced me into trying it ?straight? at one of our weekly get-togethers at a local B&M. Uh, thanks guys?

The aroma from the jar was overpowering and really, really sweet. I went ahead and lit it, much to the amusement of my friends. The first impression was ?Is this tobacco, or is it bubble gum?? It tasted like the Bubble-Yum that my kids used to chew. Yes, I let myself get roped into trying that too.

I packed it loose, to give a chance for the PG to burn off, and puffed VERY slowly. Amazing enough, I didn?t get bitten by it. I wasn?t smitten by it either. There was no hint of any tobacco flavor. Actually, I can?t think of any type of leaf that could punch through al that topping. It got a bit bitter towards the end, which isn?t unusual. You haven?t lived until you have tasted bitter strawberries.

The only good point I can see to this tobacco is that if you actually did smoke it regularly, and you are in a place where you can?t smoke but want the taste, you can grab a piece of bubble gum and use it as a substitute. You?ll never now the difference.

Two thumbs down.
