This is a pure VA offering from Orlik Tobacco Company. Black Friar is only available in Denmark, but should be possible to obtain through danish websites.
Black Friar is a high quality red/brown VA with dashes of bright in between. The slices are very thin and will behave like a shag when fully rubbed out - I suggest smoking it rather chunky.
It is not sweet as in Golden Slices and it does not have that typical Golden Slices-flavouring. An honest VA flake and quite monochromatic; even though the leaf is rather dark, it still lacks some depth, but hey, as an all-day smoke it might just ring your bell if you are into Danish products. It is WAY better than any of the MacBaren flake offerings.
Decent! Jakob Kiilerich, Denmark.
