I recently completed a tobacco exchange with a friend in Denmark. One of the blends he sent my way was Ripples. It was much appreciated by me and my local pipe club where I shared it with the group.
The tin no longer looks like the one depicted in the photo above (for whatever that's worth.) The discs were beautifully constructed with the brighter leaf encircling the darker leaf in a nickel sized "birdseye" pattern.
The smell was light and airy. So was the tobacco once loaded and lit. It is simply a mild Virginia with a delightful, naturally sweet taste. It burned rather quickly, as once rubbed, it is in very fine ribbon form.
If this were imported into the USA, I would certainly buy another tin or two. It just wasn't good enough though for me to initiate an international manhunt for more.
