This particular mixture is listed as an "American" blend by The Smoker. It is a predominantly dark blend (Latakia and Cavendish)with some light Virginias to round out the mixture. The beginning of the smoke can only be described as musty owing to the heavy use of Latakia. The smoke is very consistent throughout the beginning, middle and end. It is very smooth with no bite whatsoever. The Virginia's and Cavendish hide in the background and never make their presence fully known. My overall impression is that this is a full Latakia blend, so much so that it comes off as unbalanced. If I had to play armchair blender I would increase both the Cavendish and Virginia. Recommended if you love Latakia, for me I like to keep the Latakia in the English blends.
