I believe Wessex stopped producing this tobacco series. I also used to smoke some of these blends in the early 90's. They were highly aromatic, rather mild, tongue biting prone, but rather good and subtle. The newer versions of Wessex tobaccos--blended by the same German house (K&H) that produces Rattrays' and McConells'--have much more quality and are closer to the top notch market.
Yet, I remember the brown tin in particular as having a wonderful aroma, a subtle nutty and sweet undertone (very Danish), quite smoky, and also rather hot burning. Good quality, but closer to the Radford's range than to the more mature and manly offering currently available.

The strongest of the three. This one is spice flavored. More nicotine kick than the other two. Another great smoke!
