This is not an aromatic. There is no aroma in the pouch or lit in the bowl other than tobacco. I find no room note other than tobacco smoke. No taste either..........mind you my tongue is still healing from the trip to hell known as Borkum Riff Cherry Liqueur.

Just the right amount of moisture. No gurgle. Packs easily and lights easily. Burns almost to the bottom and not too hot.

On its own, this is a tobacco for pipe beginners. Mix it 50/50 with an intolerable aromatic like Borkum Riff Whiskey, and it makes for an enjoyable smoke.

Don't get me wrong, its not that I hate this bakkie; it just needs to be mixed with something to give it some life.

Bottom line: A good first tobacco for the newbie....my wife loves it on its own, and a good mixer for the rest of us.

This is the perfect tobacco for a beginner.

An all VA bird's eye, I think, with noting else; if any, maybe a very small proportion of Burley, but I doubt it.

Smokes extremely mild, with just a bit of taste, ideal to adapt the neophyte, not hard to maintain, doesn't need repetitive relights and I suspect it builds a pipe nicely.

If you are a beginner or think about trying pipe tobaco, I recommend it.

You're not a beginner? This bakkie is not for you.

From a Beginners point of view

On opening the bag a soft tobacco perfume is smelled. The tobacco is lightly moist to the touch and it pack itself beautifully. It light easily and keep running the full time, didn?t need to relight. The first puff is full of sedulities, sweetness, spiciness, sourness and a delicate taste of tobacco. It?s a very forgiving tobacco if you over heat it, you?ll feel a light bite on your tong. It cool down fast and maintain a pleasant taste.

I strongly recommend this tobacco for beginners, it will give you a enjoyable experience every time and will help you perfect your technique.

My first tobacco ever. When you open it, it smell really good. There is no aroma, just a soft-cold tobacco smell. I experience my first packing/lightnings etc with that one, and now I think that's a good tobacco to start if you're not already a smoker. In that case, maybe you will find the taste to smooth. Or maybe, if you're used to cigarette, this tobacco will introduce you softly to different and more complex tastes ? For my part, as a non-cigarette smoker, I definitely recommend that one for pipe beginners and curious people.
