The matured, darkened bright and orange Virginias provide a lot of tart and tangy citrus, bread, grass, floralness, sour lemon, vegetation, some sugar, mild spice, light darker fruit and smoke along with small vinegar and acidic notes. The fig, plum, and black currant casings mildly tone down the tobaccos. The strength, nic-hit and taste levels are medium. There’s no chance of bite or harshness although there are a few light rough edges. It burns cool and clean at a reasonable rate with a very consistent tartly sweet and very mildly sour flavor that extends to the lightly lingering, pleasant after taste. The room note is a notch stronger. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and doesn’t require many relights. Can be an all day smoke. Three stars.
