The burleys produce an abundance of nuts, earth, wood, bread, and some sugar as the lead components. The gold Virginia offers a lot of tart and tangy citrus, bread, grass, sugar, some floralness, spice, tart lemon, vegetation, wood, and a slight hint of acidity as a supporting player. The creamy, sugary, bready black cavendish is a couple of steps behind the Virginia. The bready sweet waffle leads the caramel with the creamy vanilla being a tad more than a condiment. Their effect on the proceedings is moderate. The strength and nic-hit just edge over the medium threshold. The taste is notch more potent. No chance of bite or harshness. Has a few small rough edges. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable rate with a very consistent sweet, fruity, floral, mildly spicy, lightly sour, zesty deep flavor that extends to the moderately lingering, pleasant after taste. The room note is pleasant. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires a couple more than an average number of relights. Can be an all day smoke. Three and a half stars.
