As this is the same as the 2021 Van Gogh, this review is mostly mirrors that one. The various mixed cut, fermented multi-continental aged, darkened Virginias provide a lot of zesty tart and tangy citrus, vegetative grass, bread, mild tangy darker fruit, earth, wood, sugar, floralness, a couple pinches of spice, and hints of peat and smoke. The herbal, woody, licorice-like absinthe casing mildly tones down the tobaccos as it helps create a very consistent flavor from start to finish. The strength and nic-hit are a step below the medium threshold. The taste is medium. Won’t bite or get harsh. The rough edges are minimal. Burns cool and clean at a moderate pace. Barely leaves any dampness in the bowl. Requires an average number of relights. Has a lightly lingering, pleasant after taste. The room note is notch stronger. Can be an all day smoke. Four stars.
