The matured red Virginias provide plenty of fermented tangy dark fruit, earth, wood, bread, some tart and tangy citrus, sugar, vegetative grass, floralness, light sour lemon, spice, and a touch of acidic vinegar. The deeply rich nougat dressing sublimates the tobaccos without drowning them out. The strength and nic-hit are a step short of the medium threshold. The taste just touches the medium mark. There’s no chance of bite or harshness. Barely has a rough note. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable rate with a very consistent fruity, sweet, floral, mostly smooth flavor that translates to the lightly lingering, pleasant after taste. The room note is pleasant. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. An all day smoke. Three and a half stars.
