The Viking Bay Flake from the series of Pipe Republic Blends is a bright, full-bodied and pure Virginia flake, which is one of the few to the very largest part of genuine US Virginia from the Old Belt. Its long maturing time gives it a very "round" aroma. A pipe tobacco with high aging potential, and slow burning.

The Viking Bay is not only aimed at Vikings or visitors of the beach that goes by the same name, so much up front. Rather, behind the name hides a first-class Virginia Flake. The bright, golden-yellow tobacco slices show that alone in the fragrance from the tin. In addition to the usual sweetness are also the obligatory notes of hay, bread, fresh tanginess. In the pipe, the tobacco is full-bodied and at no time boring. Nice and creamy, with the right subtle and perfectly integrated corners - some citrusy peppery spice, some nutty roasted flavors, some floral fruitiness. The tobacco ignites easily and burns impeccably dry and indulgent. At no time it bites or becomes bitter or sour. An absolute recommendation and to be found in the top league of pure Virginias.
