The burleys (including white) produce some earth, wood, nuts and toast as the lead component. The bright Virginia offers some tart and tangy citrus, sugar, grass, bread, and a mild floral note as a supporting player. The black burley cavendish produces light sugar and nuts in the background. Banana is the most obvious topping, but there a little butter and rum topping with a touch of vanilla in the background. They tone down the tobaccos almost to a medium extent. The strength is just past the center of mild to medium. The nic-hit is in that center. The taste is a step past the overall strength level. There’s no chance of bite, harshness or rough edges. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable rate with a very consistent sweet, fruity, mildly nutty flavor that translates to the lightly lingering, very pleasant after taste. Has a very pleasant room note. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. A very comfortable all day smoke. Three and a half stars.
