A finely cut ribboned purée of seven individual Cavendish varietals generously doused with rum and raisin flavorings.
Sticking your nose in the pouch of this deeply dark textured mass of tobaccos one gets an immediate impression of a deliciously spiced piece of sweet raisin bread, brown sugar, followed by a subtle tarty/sour grassy wood. A very tantalizing and classic aromatic piping scent that begs for smoking.
Burning generally cool, dry, and consistently, 58th Anniversary comes forward with full toppings taste that quickly simmers down into a lovely twist of zesty rum, toasty raisin, and caramelized brown sugar.
Underneath in balanced proportion are native nuances of the assorted tobacco that are hard to describe other than a mellow buttery meld of deep robust flavor, fused by earthy woodiness and gentle tart sour accents. Obviously well-constructed this blend provides an evenly balanced and pleasurable taste for the entire smoke.
With the Cavendish the smoke that is produced is very thick and meaty delivering just a wonderful aroma of sweet spicy goodness.
Yep, this one will be jarred for repeated appearance. Highly recommended.
