Boswell Pipes & Tobacco Military Force
(4.00)
Military Force is a English blend that has a pleasing aroma and tasty flavor.
J.M. says “This is truly the Smoke of The Warriors."
With our US Military in mind, he created an outdoor smoke.
A complex English blend, smooth with Latakia, Toasted Virginias, aged cubed Burley, and Orientals
Smoothness is the result of this fine balance between the flavor and the body of this hand blended tobacco that J.M. has created.

Boswell Military Force is a blend of dark brown and black tobaccos, evenly cut. This blend still has some very large chunks of pressed flake in the mix, evident this was once pressed flakes. The remaining flake rubs out very easily.
The tin note is that of a slight Latakia smokiness, and sweetness of cherry vanilla topping. I have a hard time believing this is not flavored as the description states. I truly enjoy a sweet English, so this blend was highly anticipated!
Military Force is moist on arrival, so this can benefit from a bit of air drying. However, I did not notice any burn issues in my 2oz pouch, even without drying. This produces volumes of thick, sweet smoke that has an amazing room note.
Sweet and mild, slightly fruity and woody. The oriental is a touch floral, and the burley lends a terrifically rich mouthfeel.
Military Force shows no sign of any tongue bite and burns evenly to the bottom of the bowl. No harshness or roughness anywhere along the way. If you are a fan of sweet English blends that can be smoked all day, definitely order a few oz! This is a great mild English blend, perfect for an all-day smoke!

The tobacco mixture comes moist with an almost aromatic like quality. I smoked it straight away which I’m glad I did since it handled and behaved well. The aroma from the pouch is chocolate. Sweet chocolate, raisins, and musty Latakia. Not exactly what I was expecting from a blend called MILITARY FORCE.
Packed and light in my meerschaum just fine. Big clouds of smoke. Immediately upon lighting I could tell this was an aromatic English blend. From the makers of Northwoods I was expecting good things and Boswell delivered!
This is most certainly topped. Notes of chocolate and vanilla, very sweet. The Latakia is noticeable but very tame. The burley is what I taste the most as far as tobacco. Nutty and woody. The Virginias and orientals round it out adding slight sweet, woody, buttery flavors. Smoked just fine, even moist. No bite or harshness. Consistent flavor and the topping did not diminish after the first few puffs. Could smoke hot, it is moist, so watch your pace.
What dominates this blend is the sweetness and topping. It’s very good. It’s a big boy aromatic English tobacco. If you like Northwoods but want something more aromatic and sweet then this is your jam. Everything I am looking for in an aromatic tobacco.
