The various red Virginias (Jupiter Slices’ fragments) provide a lot of fermented tart and tangy ripe dark fruit, plenty of earth, bread, vegetation and wood, a little semi-tart citrus, sugar, very light lemon, spice, vinegar, and floralness. Some of the Virginias are aged, which accounts for the matured, fermented sweetness, and variance of colors. The rich molasses dressing mildly tones down the tobaccos. The strength and the taste levels fall a step short of the medium mark. The nic-hit is a slot behind them. There’s no chance of bite or harshness. Needs a little dry time, though I did not do that as per my usual custom. Burns cool, clean, and slow with a very consistent, deeply rich sweet and fairly smooth flavor that translates to the pleasantly lingering after taste and room notes. Leaves little dampness in the bowl. Can be an all day smoke. Four stars.
