HU Tobacco Coming Home
(3.00)
A summer tobacco with a sweet and flowery flavor. It is based on ready rubbed Mysore Virginia with an addition of strong burley. It is flavored with a dominating honey aroma with a bit of rose oil. Although it is flavored, the taste of the great tobaccos is still dominating.

The floral, rather tartly sour, mildly sweet rose oil topping is very potent and drives the experience. The honey topping is condimental. I get some earth, wood and nuts from the savory, punchy burley. It’s the lead component. The Mysore Virginia ready rubbed offers some tart and tangy citrus, grass, bread, floralness, vegetation, light sour lemon with a little spice and acidity. It offers secondary support as the base of the blend. The strength is a couple of steps past the medium mark. The taste is in the center of medium to full. The nic-hit is medium. It won’t bite or get harsh, and there are no rough edges. Burns cool, clean and a tad slow with a very consistent sweet and sour, very floral, mildly nutty, lightly spicy flavor that extends to the long lasting, pleasant after taste. The room note is a tad stronger, and less than expected. Leaves very little dampness in the bowl. Requires a couple more than an average number of relights. Will ghost a briar, and a meer, given a little time. Not an all day smoke. Three and a half stars.
