Cup O' Joes High Peaks Red
(2.00)
High Peaks Red is a fine blend of cavendish and black cavendish with a rich cherry casing, with exceptionally mild flavor and delightfully aromatic. And with a price that won't be beat, it's just fine for an all-day smoke, or a perfect addition to your rotation.

Cup O Joes - High Peaks Red.
''Cherry''. This single word would be enough for a review; CHERRY! But, I'll attempt to elucidate some more!
Even before the pouch is opened the cherry aroma comes wafting over! Then, when the pouch is opened said aroma is like a whack in the face! The rather coarse ribbons contain far more brown pieces than black, and have a decent moisture level to enable immediate smoking.
From the moment a flame is introduced cherries rule the smoke. The tobaccos give a base, but deciphering each constituent is a bit of a cryptogram as the cherry flavour is HEAVY!! I get no tongue bite, even when forced, and the smoke is cool in temperature.
Nicotine: mild. Room-note: I smoked a bowl before bed and when I came down this morning the smell of cherry was still heavy. After a day smoking VaPers I could still identify a touch of cherry; very strong room-note, but not at all offensive!
High Peaks Red? If you want a strongly flavoured cherry blend then this will get you going, for me it's a bit ludicrous. 2 stars as it isn't too foul:
Somewhat recommended.

The Virginia cavendish offers some grass and little else. There’s a small amount of nuttiness from the burley. The black cavendish chips with some sugar. The strongly tart, syrupy cherry mostly drowns out the tobaccos. The strength and taste levels are medium. Barely has any nicotine. Won’t bite or get harsh. Has no rough edges. Needs a little dry time. Burns fairly cool with a slight chemical note, and slow, unless dried a mite. The potent flavor is very consistent from start to finish. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl. Requires a few more than an average number of relights. The long lasting after taste is marred by the chemical, syrup notes. Has a very pleasant room note. Not an all day smoke due to the depth of flavor.
