This light and darker Virginia cavendish blend offers a little tart and tangy citrus, grass, bread and sugar. The light vanilla and honey toppings weaken a tad toward the finish. They mildly sublimate the tobaccos. Has very little nicotine and and a very mild strength. The taste level is mild. Won't bite, or get harsh. Has no rough edges. Burns cool and clean at a reasonable pace with a very consistent, sweet and lightly creamy flavor. Has a short lived pleasant after taste, and room note. Leaves little moisture in the bowl, and requires an average number of relights. An easy going all day smoke.

Cup O' Joes - High Peaks Gold.

I normally adore vanilla or honey in aromatics. Sadly this blend isn't the best, for me.

The tobacco arrives with the usual perfect smoking ability, for Cup O' Joes. Taking one whiff from the pouch gives a clear idea of it being an aromatic; but as well as the sweet honey and vanilla it has a zest of lemon to the aroma.

Straight away, although the overriding flavour's nice, right from the start I notice a subtle, yet caustic, lemon bitterness. The tobaccos, on the plus-side, don't offer the usual ''heavy'' aromatic character. Instead it's a rather fresh, lighter, tobacco flavour. The honey outweighs the vanilla, making for a sweet taste, with just a little creaminess from the vanilla. If I could get past the sharp citrus flavour it'd be a winner, but I can't. Mechanically it behaves quite well, burning even and independent. But, to bring things down it bites me.

Nicotine: mild. Room-note: not bad.

High Peaks Gold? I can't get past the sharpness. But, the tobaccos aren't too bad, so 2 stars:

Somewhat recommended.
